Actor Gal Gadot is set to feature in The Runner, an upcoming London-based action thriller from director Kevin Macdonald. Amazon MGM Studios has secured worldwide distribution rights to The Runner, which David Kosse is developing and producing under his new venture, Rockwood Pictures.

Acclaimed filmmaker Macdonald, known for his work on One Day in September, The Last King of Scotland, and State of Play, will direct the film from a screenplay by The Wild and Snow Dogs fame Mark Gibson.

Gadot will portray a powerful attorney caught in a high-stakes chase through London. Forced to follow the cryptic instructions of a mysterious caller, she races against time in order to save her abducted son.

The Wonder Woman star's recent projects include Netflix's Red Notice and Heart of Stone. She is gearing up for the release of Disney's live-action Snow White on March 21, 2025, where she will play the Evil Queen. Additionally, Gadot has completed production on director Julian Schnabel's In the Hand of Dante. She has several other projects in the works under her banner Pilot Wave, with partner Jaron Varsano.
