William H Macy, Marcia Cross, and Susan Sarandon have signed up for Exit Right, an independent film from writer-director Thomas A Morgan. Known for his documentary films, Morgan will write and direct Exit Right for Square Zero Films and Garrick Street Productions. The film revolves around Sarandon's Jan Randall, suffering from inoperable cancer and deeply apprehensive about being trapped indoors for the rest of her life. Jan's husband John Randall (Macy) takes her on a memorable trip as her final present. On the other hand, Cross plays Monica Freeman, Jan's estranged sister, who does not like John and is hellbent on ensuring that Jan has all the comforts that modern medicine can offer.

Ed Glauser will produce the film under Garrick Street Productions. On the other hand, Garrick Street’s Lawrence Aldridge and Michael Shyjka will serve as executive producers, alongside Macy and Sarandon.

Sarandon's next projects also include The Fabulous Four, Six Triple Eight, and Nonnas. Macy's upcoming films include On Fire, Train Dreams, and Accused. On the other hand, Cross's most recent project is the series titled Monarch and You.
