Theo James joins hands with Aaron Taylor-Johnson for Fuze

Actors Theo James and Aaron Taylor-Johnson have joined are set to star in the upcoming heist thriller Fuze, directed by David Mackenzie.

The director is best known for films like Hell or High Water (2016) and Outlaw King. He is reuniting with Taylor-Johnson after the 2018 film Outlaw King.

According to the official synopsis, Fuze “opens on the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb in a London construction site sparking a mass evacuation which becomes the perfect cover for a heist.” Filming for Fuze is set to begin in July.

The film is written by Ben Hopkins and is produced by Gillian Berrie for Sigma Films and Sebastien Raybaud and Callum Grant for Anton. Anton is fully financing the film. Cinematographer Giles Nuttgens has joined the creative team as director of photography.

James garnered spotlight in the critically-acclaimed HBO series The White Lotus where he scored his first Emmy nomination for his performance as Cameron Sullivan. He is also known for the Divergent film series and Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen for Netflix. Up next, he has Stephen King’s The Monkey, where he will be starring opposite Tatiana Maslany and Elijah Wood.

Taylor-Johnson’s project lineup includes the titular role in Marvel’s Kraven and the Hunter and Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu.
