Jeffrey Wright to reprise his role as Isaac from The Last of Us video game in season 2

Actor Jeffrey Wright has returned to the world of The Last of Us. The Emmy winner and recent Oscar nominee is the new addition to the cast of The Last of Us season 2. He will have a recurring role as Isaac, the quietly powerful leader of a large militia group.

It is to be noted that he provided the voice for Isaac in The Last of Us Part II video game.

The first season of The Last of Us follows the adventures of Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) as they travel across The United States to find the mysterious fireflies, a gang of revolutionaries attempting to overthrow the American military in the wake of a zombie apocalypse.

Season 2, which is in production, will take place five years after Joel and Ellie’s dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, where the pair has settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. The new season is set for a 2025 premiere.

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey will return in Season 2 as Joel and Ellie. Apart from them, the upcoming season also stars Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Young Mazino, Catherine O'Hara, Danny Ramirez, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle and Spencer Lord.

Based on the video game of the same name, it has Craig Mazin as the writer, executive producer and co-showrunner alongside the video game's creator Neil Druckmann.
