Dolly De Leon to star in Severino: The First Serial Killer

Script of the upcoming series will be penned by Dodo Dayao, Rona Co, and Rody Vera

Philippines actor Dolly De Leon will next be seen as a part of the upcoming series Severino: The First Serial Killer.

The series is backed by the Philippines based CreaZion Studios, and will be helmed by Yam Laranas.

De Leon will be seen playing the mother of the infamous Catholic priest Severino Mallari played by Dennis Trillo, who killed 57 people during the Spanish colonial era of the Philippines.

According to the true story of the priest, he believed that his mother was bewitched and she could be cured by killing people. Trillo and De Leon last starred together in Erik Matti's On The Job 2: The Missing Eight.

Script of the upcoming series will be penned by Dodo Dayao, Rona Co, and Rody Vera.

On the workfront, Dolly De Leon will be seen in American action comedy Jackpot, starring John Cena, Awkwafina, and Simu Liu. The film is slated to be released on August 15 this year. Trillo will star in Pulang Araw, a Philippine war drama series.
