Jessica Henwick and Alisha Weir to star in animated feature The Land of Sometimes

The animated film is adapted from Francesca Longrigg's audiobook

Actors Jessica Henwick and Alisha Weir have been roped in star in the upcoming animated film The Land of Sometimes.

The film, directed by Leon Joosen, also has actors Ewan McGregor, Helena Bonham Carter and Terry Jones. Late Jones will feature in one of his final films.

The official logline of the film reads, "Twins Alfie and Elise get more than they bargained for when the Wish Collector takes them to an island full of wonder, with ever-changing seasons. They face a mechanical foe, fantastical creatures and a truth that shines brighter than any wish: the power of family."

Two Daughters Entertainment in association with Cosmo-Giantwheel is backing the project adapted from Francesca Longrigg's audiobook with a screenplay by Tony Nottage, who is also the producer.

Bonnie Arnold and Alan Yentob are executive producing alongside Two Daughters CEO James Reatchlous and managing director Simon Bobin along with Kaleidoscope Film Distribution CEO Spencer Pollard.
