Cate Blanchett is set to play the role of an alien invader named Alpha One in Alpha Gang, David and Nathan Zellner's upcoming comedy film. Alpha One leads a gang of aliens who are out to take control of Earth. She comes to the planet in the guise of a human being with her team members, who pose as a gang of dangerous 1950s bikers.

The Zellner brothers, known for the recent Jesse Eisenberg starrer Sasquatch Sunset, are also co-producing Alpha Gang. Coco Francini and Blanchett are also producing through their Dirty Films banner, alongside Gina Gammell of Felix Culpa and Ryan Zacarias of Fat City. The film is set to go on floors in the fourth quarter of this year.
