Actor Paul Walter Hauser's signing spree continues, as he will be seen in Paramount Pictures' upcoming flick Naked Gun reboot, starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson.

He recently was roped in to play the titular in comedian Chris Farley's biopic - A Chris Farley Story, directed by debutant Josh Gad and backed by New Line Cinema.

The Deadline has confirmed that Hauser will essay the the role of Captain Ed, which was played by George Kennedy in previous installments of Naked Gun films.

With release date slated for July 18, 2025, the new Naked Gun film is directed and executive produced by Akiva Schaffer with the draft script pnned by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand.

The Naked Gun reboot will revive the absurd comedy franchise with a consolidated gross of over $216 million in The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988), The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear (1991), and The Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult (1994).

The Naked Gun films revolve around the misadventures of a goofy police detective Frank Drebin, which was played by Leslie Nielsen.
