Earlier, we reported that Collen Hoover's It Ends With Us is getting a film adaptation. Starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni the film will be hitting theatres on August 9. Now, the Collen Hoover cinematic universe seems to be expanding. Verity, another one of Hoover's bestsellers is all set to get a film adaptation. Amazon MGM Studios is developing the film along with Eat the Cat’s Nick Antosca and Alex Hedlund who will also be producing. Hillary Seitz, screenwriter of The Unforgivable, will pen the script for the adaptation.

This romantic thriller revolves around Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer, hired by Jeremy Crawford, husband of a famous author, to complete the remaining books in her successful series as they were left incomplete when she met with a mysterious accident. Upon arrival at the lavish Crawford Estate, she discovers a secret unfinished manuscript that dwells into the family's past and uncovers a world of secrets. As she grows fond of Jeremy and his young son Crew, she must figure out if Verity's writings are purely a work of fiction or not.

Some of Hoover's other books include Regretting You, Ugly Love, Reminders Of Him, All Your Perfects, Hopeless and November 9. In 2018, Verity was self-published by Hoover. Later in 2021, it was acquired by Grand Central Publishing. It has spent months on the New York Times Best Sellers list and sold over one million copies. In 2023, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
