DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures are planning to release the sequel to The Bad Guys on August 1, 2025, in US theatres. The makers are yet to announce the worldwide release date for the film.

The Bad Guys 2 sees the return of the principal characters in the first part, including Mr. Wolf (Sam Rockwell), Mr. Snake (Marc Maron), Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson), Ms. Tarantula (Awkwafina), and Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos). The other characters in the sequel include Diana Foxington (Zazie Beetz), Professor Marmalade (Richard Ayoade), Misty Luggins (Alex Borstein), and Tiffany Fluffit (Lilly Singh).

The film's logline reads thus: “The Bad Guys are struggling to find trust and acceptance in their newly minted lives as Good Guys, when they are pulled out of retirement and forced to do ‘one last job’ by an all-female squad of criminals.”

Damon Ross is producing The Bad Guys 2, while Pierre Perifel is returning as the director, with JP Sans to co-direct. Daniel Pemberton, meanwhile, is the composer of the film's score.
