Fresh from her Best Supporting Actress Oscar win for The Holdovers, Da’Vine Joy Randolph is already in talks to star in her next film. Reports state that the actor is in talks to join Michel Gondry's Pharrell Williams biographical film. Gondry is best known for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, starring Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey. Williams himself is producing this biopic, along with Gil Netter and Mimi Valdés. Steven Levenson and Martin Hynes are the writers of the yet-to-be-titled Williams biopic, whose production is underway at Universal.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kelvin Harrison Jr., who played BB King in the recent Elvis biopic, is all set to essay the titular role of Williams in the film. It follows Williams in the years where he came of age as an artist in 1970s Virginia Beach.

The film marks a return for Randolph to the musical genre after High Fidelity.
