Paramount has purchased the speculative screenplay of John Swetnam's action-comedy film titled Ballistic. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves are producing the film through their banner GoldDay, alongside Sara Smith. The producer duo have entered a first-look deal with Paramount, and they are going to oversee the film project with Jon Gonda at the helm of this department.

The film's logline as well as additional cast and crew information are still kept under wraps. It is to be noted that this film is different from the Ballistic that Lena Headey and Amybeth McNulty recently signed up for.

Swetnam is best known as the writer of the action film Into the Storm and the Step Up All In franchise film, as well as the writer-director of the dance film Breaking Through.
