Ari Aster's next for A24, Eddington, has on boarded a star-studded ensemble, including Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, and Austin Butler. The film, financed and produced by A24, is set to begin production this week.

Also a part of the cast are Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward and Clifton Collins Jr. Aster has written the script for Eddington, as well. The film will revolve around the lofty aspirations of a small-city New Mexico Sheriff.

Darius Khondji, two-time Oscar-nominee, will crank the camera for Eddington. Aster and Lars Knudsen are also bankrolling the film under their Square Peg banner.

Phoenix recently worked with Aster on Beau Is Afraid, and is reuniting with the filmmaker for Eddington.

Aster's collaboration with A24 goes way back, as the production house has released all three of the director's previous films, including Hereditary (2018), Midsommar (2019) and Beau Is Afraid. Eddington will mark the sixth collaboration between A24 and Square Peg.
