Bhimaa clears censorship formalities

The makers of Bhimaa, an upcoming action entertainer, have announced on Wednesday that their film has cleared censor formalities. The film has received an A certificate from the Censor Board, with the film's runtime locked at 2 hours and 22 minutes. Bhimaa is a Shivaratri release, scheduled to hit theatres on March 8.

Bhimaa stars Gopichand in the lead role. The actor plays two different characters, one of whom is a police officer. The film is set in a village called Parusuramakshetram. Priya Bhavani Shankar and Malavika Sharma are the film's female leads. Bhimaa is written and directed by Kannada filmmaker A Harsha; it is his maiden project in Telugu. It is also Gopichand's 31st film.

Bhimaa is produced by KK Radhamohan under the Sri Satya Sai Arts banner. Ravi Basrur is the music composer of the film, with cinematography by Swamy J Gowda, editing by Kiran, and production design by Ramana Vanka. Ajju Mahankali has penned the film's dialogues, with action choreography performed by Ram-Lakshman, Venkat and Dr Ravi Varma.
