The makers of the upcoming film My Old Ass unveiled the film's trailer on Thursday. Starring Maisy Stella and Aubrey Plaza in lead roles, the comedy film is written and directed by Megan Park.

The trailer shows Maisy Stella as Elliot, who meets her older self, a middle-aged Elliot played by Aubrey Plaza. The older Elliot keeps warning the younger one about the do's and don't's in her life, which makes the latter's life confusing and complicated.

The official logline of My Old Ass reads, "An 18th birthday mushroom trip brings free-spirited Elliott (Maisy Stella) face-to-face with her wisecracking 39-year-old self (Aubrey Plaza). But when Elliott’s “old ass” starts handing out warnings about what her younger self should and shouldn’t do, Elliott realizes she has to rethink everything about family, love, and what’s becoming a transformative summer."

Maddie Ziegler, Kerrice Brooks, Percy Hynes White, Maria Dizzia, and Seth Isaac Johnson also star in My Old Ass, among others. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2024. Produced by Indian Paintbrush, LuckyChap Entertainment, and Scythia Films, My Old Ass is all set to hit theatres on September 13.
