Netflix and A24 are looking at Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan to play prominent roles in the second season of Beef. Previously, Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny were announced as additions to the cast of the second season. Netflix has yet to confirm the casting of Isaac and Mulligan.

The second season of Beef will reportedly revolve around two feuding couples. However, there's no official news regarding the greenlighting of the second season. Previously, Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway were in talks to play Isaac and Mulligan's characters as a couple, however, the talks did not materialise.

Isaac last lent his voice to Miguel O'Hara from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. He currently has Frankenstein, Guillermo del Toro’s film, in which he plays Doctor Frankenstein in the pipeline, along with Julian Schnabel’s Hand of Dante, co-starring Jason Momoa.

Mulligan, on the other hand, was last seen in Spaceman. She has James Griffiths' The Ballad of Wallis Island and Wildwood, directed by Travis Knight in various stages of production.
