Actor Jennifer Lawrence will team up with Apple Original Film and A24 for a murder mystery film The Wives. They have already worked together on the 2022 drama Causeway.

Lawrence, apart from starring in the film, will also produce it.

Jennifer Lawrence and Justine Ciarrocchi will produce the film under their banner, Excellent Cadaver Production. They will be joined by Jeremy O Harris and Josh Godfrey's bb2 production banner.

The project, written by Michael Breslin (who recently directed Invasive Species) and Patrick Foley, is yet to get a director.

Though the plot details are kept under wraps, it is believed that the film is loosely inspired by the Real Housewives franchise, which focuses on the over-the-top theatrics of influential women from Orange County to Miami to Atlanta.

Jennifer Lawrence was last seen in the R-rated comedy film No Hard Feelings. She also starred in Leonardo DiCaprio's Don't Look Up.
