Charlie Hunnam is set to star as a lead actor in Criminal, a show based on Sean Phillips and Ed Brubaker's eponymous graphic novel series, according to Variety. He joins the earlier announced cast that consts of Adria Arjona, Kadeem Hardison, and Richard Jenkins. The show is an Amazon MGM Studios production. As per a Deadline report, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are set to helm the first four episodes of the show. Jordan Harper and Brubaker will executive produce the series, along with Phillips, Phillip Barnett, Sarah Carbiener, and Legendary Television.

According to the logline, it is "an interlocking universe of crime stories." As per the official description, Hunnam's character, Leo, is “a brilliant master thief who sees all the angles and specialises in plans with no guns and no violence. Like a chess player, Leo thinks three moves ahead. Other crooks think he’s a coward, especially compared to his father Tommy, who went to jail for murdering the most feared man in the city, Teeg Lawless.”

When it comes to series, the actor is most popular for playing Jackson Teller in Sons of Anarchy on FX. His other series include Shantaram, Undeclared, and Queer as Folk.
