The trailer for the upcoming sci-fi film, Slingshot, was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. Starring Casey Affleck, Laurence Fishburne and Tomer Capone, in the lead, the film is directed by Mikael Hafstrom.

The trailer shows Affleck and Capone upon a spacecraft on a mission to a moon called Titan, which is the most Earthlike planetory body. In search of a new home, the two astronauts, along with Fishburne, try to access Jupiter's gravity to reach safely. While that poses a challenge on the one hand, the hibernation medication they're given makes them hallucinate, making this sci-fi film also a survival thriller.

The official synopsis of Slingshot reads, "The film follows an elite trio of astronauts aboard a years-long, possibly compromised mission to Saturn’s moon Titan. As the team gears up for a highly dangerous slingshot maneuver that will either catapult them to Titan or into deep space, it becomes increasingly difficult for one astronaut to maintain his grip on reality."

Emily Beecham and David Morrissey also star in Slingshot which is written by R Scott Adams and Nathan Parker. The principal photography of the film took place at  Korda Studios and other locations in and around Budapest, Hungary.

Produced by Saperstein, Slingshot is all set to hit theatres on August 30.
