Earlier, we reported about Keke Palmer and SZA starring in an untitled buddy comedy film from director Lawrence Lamont. The latest development is that its makers have added Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Maude Apatow, and Katt Williams to the film's cast. Joshua Neal, Aziza Scott and Patrick Cage are also starring in the film.

The producers are yet to reveal further details about the plot of the film or the characters in it. However, Lamont described it as "an epic, hilarious and original story about friendship." The film, with Tristar Pictures as its distributor, makes the debut of 'Snooze' singer-songwriter SZA as an actor. Lamont, who made his directorial debut with the Max show Rap Sh!t, is directing the film from a screenplay by Syreeta Singleton. Producers comprise Issa Rae and Sara Diya Rastogi of Hoorae, Deniese Davis of ColorCreative, and Macro Film Studios' Poppy Hanks, Charles D King, and James Lopez. Singleton is also serving as a co-producer.
