AMC has renewed The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon for another season ahead of the premiere of its second season, subtitled The Book of Carole. The announcement came at the ongoing San Diego Comic-Con.

The spinoff show will be set and produced in Spain. Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, showrunner David Zabe, and director/executive producer Greg Nicotero attended the unveiling of a sneak peek of the upcoming second season at the comic book convention.

Season 2 reunites Reedus (Daryl Dixon) with McBride (Carol Peletier). It will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on September 29.

According to the official logline, Daryl and Carol “confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest.”

In season 3, Daryl and Carol will continue their trip home to loved ones. Their path, however, will lead them through unfamiliar territories, exposing them to the evolving challenges of a world ravaged by walkers.

Besides McBride and Reedus, the series stars Clemence Poesy, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi, and Eriq Ebouaney.
