Steve Buscemi confirmed as Starscream's voice in Transformers One

Starscream is the second-in-command of the Decepticons, the alien robots looking to take over planet Cybertron

Earlier, we reported about Chris Hemsworth, Keegan-Michael Key, and Scarlett Johansson leading the voice cast for the animation film Transformers One. Steve Buscemi is the latest to join the cast of director Josh Cooley's film. The firefighter turned actor, best known for his performances in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs and the Coen brothers' Fargo, lends his voice to Starscream, an iconic villain character in the Transformers franchise. The makers of the film, Paramount Animation confirmed it at the ongoing San Diego Comic Con. They also released a trailer later in the day, featuring a sneak peek into Starscream.

Starscream is the second-in-command of the Decepticons, the alien robots looking to take over planet Cybertron. The cast also includes Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.

Transformers One tells the story of how young versions of Megatron (Tyree Henry) and Optimus Prime (Hemsworth) go from being brothers-in-arms to rivals. Johansson voices Elita-1, a prominent Autobot character in the Transformers universe and the love interest of Optimus Prime.

Earlier this year, Paramount Animation made history by becoming the first film studio to launch a film trailer into outer space with Transformers OneIt is also the first Transformers animation film to come out in theatres in almost 40 years.

Transformers One is scheduled to release on September 20 in theatres.
