Melissa Barrera starrer Your Monster gets a release date

Caroline Lindy wrote and directed the film based on her 2019 short film of the same name

Your Monster writer-director Caroline Lindy shared a poster for her upcoming film, bearing its release date. The film, starring Melissa Barrera and Tommy Dewey, will release theatrically on October 25 this year. Melissa plays an actor named Laura Franco in the film, whose boyfriend (Edmund Donovan) dumps her as she regains her health after surgery, making her go back to her childhood residence for recovery. Later, she forges a connection with a monster (Tommy) that encourages her to pursue her ambitions and embrace the rage inside her. The tagline of the film reads thus: "Love can be a beast."

Caroline Lindy wrote and directed Your Monster based on her 2019 short film of the same name. The film also stars Meghann Fahy, Edmund Donovan, and Kayla Foster. It premiered at the Midnight section of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and got the Audience Favorite Award at the London edition of the festival. Kayla also produced the film alongside Shannon Reilly, Melanie Donkers, Kira Carstensen, and Caroline Lindy. Vertical (formerly Vertical Entertainment) will distribute the film in theatres.
