The trailer for Close To You, starring Elliot Page in the lead role, was unveiled on Wednesday. The film is penned and helmed by Dominic Savage, who has come up with the story along with Page.

The trailer shows Elliot Page as Sam, who goes back home years after his transition. Once there, he confronts unresolved wounds and reconnects with an old flame.

Hillary Baack, Peter Outerbridge, Wendy Crewson, Janet Porter, Alex Paxton-Beesley, Daniel Maslany, Sook-Yin Lee, Andrew Bushell, Jim Watson, David Reale and Amanda Richer round out the cast of Close To You.

A drama, Close To You is backed by Kindred Spirit, Rolling Dice, Me + You Productions, Good Question Media, and Pageboy Productions. The film previously had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023. The film is all set to hit theatres on August 23.
