Actor Emma Roberts revealed in a recent interview why she has yet to share screen space with her aunt and actress Julia Roberts.

Speaking to Variety, the actor said the "timing and project" have not aligned. She added that the opportunity to join Julia for a film has not come yet.

Expressing optimism towards working together with Julia, Emma, whose family connections are under scrutiny in Hollywood, said that finding the perfect project is important for the both of them. She added, "She's the best, and I want to do something with her. We send each other books and talk about stuff, but it hasn't been right."

She said she watches Julia's films for her comfort. "I watch her movies when I'm on location and by myself. I have movies of hers downloaded on my computer that I watch for comfort. My Best Friend's Wedding and America's Sweethearts are my safe movies," Emma adds.

Emma Roberts, who was last seen in Space Cadet directed by Liz W Garcia, has been a part of popular films like Scream 4 (2011), We're The Millers (2013), Wild Child (2008), Holidate (2020), Nerve (2016), Paradise Hills (2019), Aquamarine (2006), and Adult World (2013); her TV series credits include American Horror Story (2013–present) and Scream Queens (2015–2016).
