Kung Fu Panda 4, the fourth and latest film in the Kung Fu Panda franchise, is all set to premiere on Jio Cinema on July 14, the streamer announced on Thursday. The film, directed by Mike Mitchell, hit theatres on March 15 and opened to mixed reviews.

The official logline of Kung Fu Panda 4 reads, "In the film, Po, who must find and train his successor as the new Dragon Warrior, teams up with fox bandit Zhen, to defeat evil sorceress The Chameleon, before she steals the kung-fu abilities of all masters in China."

Jack Black has returned to voice the titular character, Po Ping, along with the A-lister ensemble of Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, and Jackie Chan. The newest additions to the voice cast of Kung Fu Panda 4 include Ke Huy Quan, Viola Davis and Awkwafina. Davis has voiced the role of The Chameleon.

The Kung Fu Panda series, developed by DreamWorks Animation, released the first film in 2008 and ended its trilogy in 2016. The CGI animated film series received critical as well as commercial praise, quickly expanding into television series, games, and theme park attractions. The first two films in the franchise received Academy Award nominations for Best Animated Feature.
