Trailer of Hellboy: The Crooked Man out

The first trailer video of Jack Kesy-starrer Hellboy: The Crooked Man has been released.

This will be the fourth film from the franchise . Inspired by the 1993 comic strip by Dark Horse Comics, the first two films, Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army, were made by filmmaker Guillermo del Toro. The third one was made by Neil Marshall, and the one in which Jack Kesy will play the titular role for the first time is helmed by Brian Taylor.

The trailer opens in a dark rural Appalachian setting where Hellboy (Kesy), a demonic superhero, battles witches and other paranormal creatures using his supernatural powers. The glimpse alternates between eerie-filled scenes and action sequences, with the villian Crooked Man also making an appearance.

The film's star cast includes Jack Kesy as Hellboy/Anung Un Rama, Jefferson White as Tom Ferrell, Adeline Rudolph as Bobbie Jo Song, Joseph Marcell as Reverend Nathaniel Armstrong Watts, Leah McNamara as Effie Kolb, and Hannah Margetson as Cora Fisher.

Brian Taylor has made the film based on writers Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden's screenplay. Other members of the technical crew are cinematographer Ivan Vatsov, editor Ryan Denmark, and music composer Sven Faulconer.

Makers are yet to announce the film's release date.
