The final trailer of the horror-filled serial killer film LongLegs has been released by the makers. Starring Maika Monroe as an FBI agent and Nicholas Cage as the infamous killer in lead roles.

The new one-minute-long trailer gives further context to the killing spree of 'The Man Downstairs'. He is an evil person who has eluded cops for three decades with gruesome murders. The only clue that they have is that he leaves cryptic letters with the word LongLegs on them. The film looks to be set in different time periods and gives a glimpse into Longlegs' murders and a peek into the psyche of Maika Monroe's character Lee Harker.

The trailer and the film has expectations set high, with a few critis even praising LongLegs to be "the best serial killer horror film since The Silence of the Lambs."

The film is directed by Osgood Perkins, who is best known for Gretel & Hansel and I Am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House. The horror-thriller film is slated for a release on July 12.
