Abbott Elementary, the mockumentary sitcom, has been renewed for a fourth season. The renewal news has been announced three days after the third season's premiere. 

The show chronicles a group of dedicated teachers and their principal as they strive to provide quality education to the students in their underfunded black school in Philadelphia.

Abbott Elementary is created and written by Quinta Brunson. She also plays the character Janine Teagues, a perpetually optimistic second-grade teacher at Abbott Elementary. The ensemble cast of the series also includes Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, William Stanford Davis, and Sheryl Lee Ralph.

The first season of the Abbott Elementary was premiered on December 7, 2021. The show has been nominated for 15 Primetime Emmy Awards and has won four, including the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series award for Brunson. Additionally, Abbott Elementary has won three Golden Globe Awards.

The original ABC series is available on Disney+Hotstar in India.
