Game of Thrones alums Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are set to reunite for an upcoming gothic horror movie titled The Dreadful.

The film is set against the backdrop of the War of the Roses and Anne (Turner) and her mother-in-law Morwen, who live a solitary, harsh life on the outskirts of society. But when a man (Harington) from their past returns, he will set off a sequence of events that become a turning point for Anne.

Natasha Kermani (Lucky, Imitation Girl) has written the film and is currently scheduled to direct, with further details about the film's cast and plot yet to be announced.

Sophie Turner and KitHarington are best known for their roles as Sansa Stark and Jon Snow in HBO's hugely popular adaptation of George RR Martin's fantasy series. The series ran for eight seasons before coming to a divisive ending in 2019.

Recently Turner was seen in Netflix's Do Revenge and Max's Crime Drama The Staircase, among others while Harrington has starred in Apple’s Extrapolations and Marvel’s Eternals.

Kermani made her directorial debut with 2017’s Imitation Girl. She also contributed to the horror anthology V/H/S/85, directing the segment TKNOGD, about a performance artist whose VR show takes a horrific turn.
