Chinese star Fan Bingbing is set to act with Liam Neeson for Ice Road 2: Road to the Sky. Neeson reprises the role of Mike McCann in the sequel to The Ice Road, while Fan will play a Mount Everest guide. According to reports, her character is named Dhani, and she is armed with exceptional fighting skills. She will serve as a foil to Mike, whose survival instincts and thirst for justice know no bounds.

Fan is best known for her turns in Iron Man 3 and X-Men: Days of Future Past. More recently, she headlined the South Korean project Green Night, which was screened at the Berlin International Film Festival under its Panorama section.
 

Ice Road 2: Road to the Sky marks a return-to-action space for Fan after her turn as an MSS agent in the 2022 Jessica Chastain-starrer The 355. The under-production film is based on an original screenplay by Jonathan Hensleigh, and it is being co-produced by Hensleigh, Al Corley, Eugene Musso, and Bart Rosenblatt of CODE Entertainment, and Julie Goldstein and Shivani Rawat of ShivHans Pictures.
