Robert De Niro makes his web series debut as an erstwhile American President who comes out of retirement back into the federal government to investigate a conspiracy in Netflix's Zero Day. The streaming service dropped a trailer for the limited series a while ago. De Niro's character heads a task force that looks into a devastating cyber attack to find out the truth behind it, with another such attack in the horizon. The cast also includes Jesse Plemons, Lizzy Caplan, Connie Britton, Joan Allen, Bill Camp, Dan Stevens, Gaby Hoffmann, Matthew Modine, and Angela Bassett.

At one part of the trailer, Basset's character tells De Niro's character, "People believe what they need to believe. The truth is the truth, but it’s not always the most important thing." From the looks of it, Basset's character seems to be the US President.

Eric Newman, Noah Oppenheim, and Michael S Schmidt created Zero Day. The series is slated to release on Netflix on February 20.
