With the cast of Scream 7 growing by the day, the latest update is that Mason Gooding is all set to reprise his role as Chad Meeks-Martin in the seventh instalment of the series. He will be joining Neve Campbell, fellow returnee to the Scream franchise. 

New actor joining the franchise with Scream 7 are Sam Rechner, Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, and Mckenna Grace. There have been multiple changes in the cast and crew for Scream 7, including the exit of Christopher Landon as its director. Since then, Kevin Williamson, the creator of Scream and the screenwriter of the 1996 Wes Craven directorial that launched the franchise, has been directing the film from a Guy Busick screenplay. Plot details are also yet to be announced.

The 2022 Scream reboot's James Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak are producing the film under the banner Project X Entertainment. The makers are yet to disclose its plot details.

Gooding, who can be seen in Y2K, also has Heart Eyes and I Want Your Sex in the pipeline. 

Scream 7 is slated for a February 27, 2026, release through Paramount Pictures.
