Wyatt Russell in talks to join Steven Spielberg's next

Actor Wyatt Russell, known for his role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is in negotiations to star in Steven Spielberg's upcoming film. If confirmed, he will be joining a star-studded cast that includes actors Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth, Colman Domingo, and Eve Hewson.

The upcoming untitled feature has a story written by Spielberg and script penned by the filmmaker's longtime collaborator David Koepp. He has previously worked on his films like Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Spielberg last directed the semi-autobiographical The Fabelmans, which was released in 2022.

Russell is best known for portraying John Walker in the Disney/Marvel Cinematic Universe, notably in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and the upcoming Thunderbolts movie, which will be released in early May 2025. His filmography also includes roles in Escape from L.A., Soldier, Cowboys & Aliens, This Is 40, 22 Jump Street, Folk Hero & The Funny Guy, Overlord, The Woman in the Window, Night Swim, and the Apple TV+/Legendary series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
