Searchlight Pictures unveiled a new poster for its highly anticipated Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown starring Timothee Chalamet in the lead role as the iconic legendary singer-songwriter.

The poster gives a glimpse into the film's aesthetic, which is set against the backdrop of 1960s New York City.

Director James Mangold's film delves into the formative years of Dylan’s legendary career. Set in the early 1960s, it follows young Bob Dylan as he goes from Minnesota to Greenwich Village and shakes the foundations of the folk music scene there.

The recent trailer showcased Chalamet’s impressive vocal abilities as he delivered a powerful rendition of Dylan's song 'A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall'. It also offered a peek into the iconic locations that young Dylan would often visit, such as Cafe Wha and Hotel Chelsea.

Mangold and Jay Cocks adapted it from Elijah Wald’s book Dylan Goes Electric. The title is a nod to a line from Dylan's most popular song 'Like a Rolling Stone'.

While Dylan remains uninvolved in the project, it is reported that he generously shared insights and held multiple meetings with Mangold to ensure authenticity.

A Complete Unknown also stars Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, Dan Fogler as Albert Grossman, and Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie.

Chalamet and Mangold also produced it alongside Fred Berger, Alex Heineman, Peter Jaysen, Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer, and Jeff Rosen.

The film is set for release on December 25, along with Robert Eggers' Nosferatu remake.
