Tom Burke, Maurizio Lombardi join Blade Runner 2099

Tom Burke and Maurizio Lombardiare are all set to join the cast of Amazon Prime Video's limited series, Blade Runner 2099. The series will be a sequel to the 2017 Denis Villeneuve film Blade Runner 2049, which starred Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Dave Bautista, and Jared Leto. Blade Runner 2049 was a sequel to the 1982 Ridley Scott film Blade Runner.

Burke and Lombardiare join Michelle Yeoh, Hunter Schafer, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, and Matthew Needham as part of the recurring star cast. Additional cast includes Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Katelyn Rose Downey, and Daniel Rigby. The series is currently in production in Prague. 

Silka Luisa will be the showrunner and executive producer along with Ridley Scott, Alcon Entertainment's Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, and Ben Roberts, Scott Free Productions' David W. Zucker and Clayton Krueger, Tom Spezialy, Richard Sharkey, Michael Green, Cynthia Yorkin, Frank Giustra, and Isa Dick Hackett. Jonathan van Tulleken, known for directing and executive producing the opening episodes of the historical epic Shōgun, will helm the first two episodes. A release date for the series is yet to be announced by the makers.
