Bechir Sylvain joins the cast of Jurassic World 4

The upcoming film will mark the seventh film in the franchise

Actor Bechir Sylvain, best known for his role in Diarra From Detroit and Black Summer, is the latest to join the cast of Jurassic World 4 which will be headlined by Scarlett Johansson.

Bechir Sylvian will be starring alongside Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Mahershala Ali, Luna Blaise, and David Iacono.

Backed by Universal, the new film is set to have its script penned by David Koepp, the writer of Jurassic Park and its sequel The Lost World. Previously, David Leitch was roped in to helm the film, but he exited the project. Edwards was brought in as the director right after.

Principal photography kicked off in June, with the production shooting on location in Thailand, Malta and the UK.

The yet-to-be-titled Jurassic World film is all set to be executive produced by Spielberg through Amblin Entertainment alongside Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley. The film franchise began in 1993, with Steven Spielberg helming the first project. The upcoming film will mark the seventh film in the franchise.
