Jessica Rothe and Joseph Cross are set to feature in a film titled Affection, which is described as a blend of science-fiction, horror, and thriller. Julianna Layne is also part of the film, which debutant BT Meza is directing from his own screenplay.
The plot follows Rothe's character Ellie, who has a health condition that changes her memory in such an erratic way that she cannot remember her daughter (Layne) or spouse (Cross). Each reset causes a sense of disorientation in her, with bleek visions of a life that she has never lived.
Rothe is most popular for horror features such as the two Happy Death Day films. Her credits also include films such as La La Land and Boy Kills World, besides shows like Chicago PD, High Maintenance, and Utopia.
Some of Cross’s credits are Licorice Pizza, Lincoln, Devotion, Milk, and Mank.
On the other hand, Layne starred in A Christmas Story Christmas, Audrey’s Children, and Prodigal Son.
