Within just ten days of the US premiere and three days of release in Indian theatres, Alien: Romulus has crossed $200 million at the global box office.

With $225 million earned worldwide, it has officially earned more than Ridley Scott's Alien (1979) and James Cameron's Aliens (1986).

Directed by Fede Álvarez, Alien: Romulus is produced by Ridley Scott and Michael A Pruss under their Scott Free Productions banner, alongside Walter Hill of Brandywine Productions. It is executive produced by Alvarez himself, Elizabeth Cantillon, Brent O'Connor, and Tom Moran.

The film, set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), follows a group of young space colonisers as they come face-to-face with the most terrifying life form in the universe while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station.

The film stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu in pivotal roles.

Upon release on August 23, the film received mixed to positive reviews from audience as well as critics. Our CE review of the film read, "Alien Romulus neither offers anything new nor does it have anything to say. However, it still remains an effective alien-slasher film. When the xenomorph hunts down the crew, you still feel the thrills."

It has cinematography by Galo Olivares, editing by Jake Roberts, production design by Naaman Marshall, and music by Benjamin Wallfisch.
