Dave Franco becomes the latest to join the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's Regretting You. Set to be helmed by Josh Boone, the film stars McKenna Grace and Allison William in lead roles.

The news comes as the recent adaptation of Hoover's It Ends With Us, starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, has hit theatres with a successful commercial opening. Josh Boone has previously helmed The Fault In Our Stars. Susan McMartin has penned the script for the film.

Williams will be seen as Morgan Grant, who has a complex relationship with her daughter Clara, in Regretting You. Morgan put her own aspirations on hold to devote herself to raising Clara after becoming a young mother. However, as Clara enters her teenage years, their bond becomes increasingly tense, particularly following the devastating loss of Chris, Morgan's husband and Clara's father, in a tragic accident.  Franco plays Jonah, Morgan’s love interest following the loss of her husband.

Robert Kulzer of Constantin Film is all set to produce Regretting You adaptation alongside Brunson Green and Anna Todd.

Last seen in Love Lies Bleeding, Franco currently has Now You See Me 3 from Lionsgate and Together an indie horror film that features Alison Brie and was produced by and stars her Franco, her husband.
