Hold Your Breath distributor Searchlight Pictures released a set of photographs giving a first look at some of the characters in the horror thriller, which marks writer-directors Will Joines and Karrie Crouse's directorial debut. The film stars Sarah Paulson as an Oklahoma-based woman convinced of a sinister threat to her family amidst the terrifying 1930s dust storms. One of the first-look posters features Paulson's character holding onto her child firmly close to her as she looks at something with a sense of anxiety.

The cast also includes The Bear star Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Alona Jane Robbins, Annaleigh Ashford, and Amiah Miller. Alix Madigan of Mad Dog Films and Lucas Joaquin of Secret Engine produced Hold Your Breath. The makers have also released the first-look photos for Miller and Moss-Bachrach's characters.

The film is slated for an October 3 release on the streaming platform Hulu.
