Disney announced several updates on major film franchises like Avengers, Star Wars, Avatar, and Toy Story on Thursday, along with its quarterly earnings presentation. The company had a revenue of USD 6.4 billion in the latest quarter.
The main updates are as follows:
Three new Star Wars films will release between 2026 and 2027, including The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will release in 2026 and 2027, respectively.
Avatar sequels will release in 2025, 2029, and 2031.
Toy Story 5 will release in 2026.
The Live Action Moana film will release in 2026.
The presentation also revealed that Disney+ has a subscriber base of 54.8 million in the US and Canada and a subscriber base of 63.5 million in the rest of the international market.
