The release date for the Tom Hanks starrer Here has been moved up to November 1 by Sony. The film, which marks the collaboration of Hanks with his Forrest Gump (1994) director Robert Zemeckis, is billed as an original drama about multiple families and a special place they inhabit.

The screenplay was adapted by Eric Roth & Zemeckis from Richard McGuire's namesake novel. The film stars Hanks, Robin Wright, Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, Michelle Dockery, Gwilym Lee, David Fynn, and Ophelia Lovibond.

It also features digitally de-aged versions of Hanks and Wright, thanks to a recent partnership between the Hollywood organisation CAA and the AI technology company Metaphysic. Zemeckis also produced the film, alongside Jack Rapke, Bill Block, and Derek Hogue.

Hanks was last seen in the 2023 Wes Anderson directorial Asteroid City (2023), and will collaborate once again with the filmmaker for the upcoming adventure film The Phoenician Scheme.
