Chris Evans opened up about his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with an extended cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine. He played Johnny Storm, also known as Human Torch, in the Shawn Levy directorial, starring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.

Evans took to Instagram to tell the world how much he appreciated the film's two leads and writer-director for the opportunity. In his Instagram Story, he shared a photograph featuring him with the trio and wrote, “Thank you to Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Shawn Levy for letting me be a part of such an incredible movie! They’re three of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Special thank you to Ryan for making it all happen. Playing Johnny again was a dream come true and he’ll always have a special place in my heart.”

Evans may be more popular for playing Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, but he also played Johnny Storm in the first two Fantastic Four films. He made one of the film's many cameos, also including Wesley Snipes' Blade, Jennifer Garner's Elektra, Channing Tatum's Gambit, Dafne Keen's Laura/X-23, and Blake Lively's Lady Deadpool.
