CE Features

Director Aaron Sorkin has revealed he is working on 'some sort of a sequel' for critically-acclaimed The Social Network in 2010.

Sorkin during the recording of 'The Town' podcast said the story he will write will blame Facebook for the January 6 Capitol riots by Trump supporters.

He responded that a movie ticket needs to be taken when asked why will he blame the social media platform for the riots.

Elaborating on the kind of story he will write, he says, "Facebook has been tuning its algorithm to promote the most divisive material as possible" to increase engagement.

He initially expressed the idea of penning a sequel to The Social Network in 2021.

The Social Network, directed by David Fincher, won applause from critics and audience. The film went on to earn over $220 million globally.
