Julia Garner onboard Rosemary’s Baby prequel, titled Apartment 7A

Actor Julia Garner has signed up for a leading role in Apartment 7A, the prequel to the classic horror film Rosemary's Baby and is based on Ira Levin's eponymous novel. Natalie Erika James is directing the film, which is billed as a psychological thriller, from a screenplay by Christian White, Skylar James, and Natalie Erika James. It will release on Paramount+ in the late third quarter or early fourth quarter of this year in the United States of America and select global markets. The makers are yet to announce an Indian release date.

Apartment 7A stars Garner as a young dancer, fresh from a serious injury, and attracted to a mysterious couple who promise her an opportunity to become famous. The film, set in NYC, tells a story that precedes the goings-on in Roman Polanski's 1968 film. It also stars Kevin McNally, Dianne Wiest, and Jim Sturgess. Marli Siu, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, and Andrew Buchan are also part of the supporting cast.

Alexa Ginsburg and Vicki Dee Rock are executive producing the film, with John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form serving as producers.
