The biographical sports film of A24 titled The Iron Claw will start streaming on Max from May 10 onwards. The film had its theatrical release on December 20, 2023, and earned critical acclaim and audience appreciation. The Zac Efron starrer from director Sean Durkin is created on the basis of the Von Erich family of wrestlers, which saw many tragic deaths. The film stars Efron as wrestler Kevin Von Erich, Jeremy Allen White as Kerry Von Erich, Stanley Simons as Mike Von Erich, Holt McCallany as patriarch Fritz Von Erich, Harris Dickinson as David Von Erich, Maura Tierney as Doris Von Erich, and Lily James as Kevin's spouse Pam Adkisson.

Efron trained to become more muscular to play his professional wrestler character. "That necessity to be perfect — it became an obsession. It was a singular focus for months. And your life goes out the window during prep,” Efron told Variety last December.
