Apple TV+ gives nod to For All Mankind renewal and its spinoff series Star City

Streamer Apple TV+ has launched the spinoff series Star City, created by Ronald D Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi as an expansion of their For All Mankind drama series.

The series billed "a propulsive paranoid thriller" is focused on the historic-distortionary retelling of the space race. That is, the Soviet Union becoming the first nation send a manned spacecraft to the moon. The storyline will explore the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers, and the intelligence officers who are part of the Soviet space program.

Apple TV+ has also renewed For All Mankind for its fifth installment. The fourth season, which takes place eight years after the events of season 3, unfolds in the 2000s. Season 4 begins with a mission to capture an asteroid and exploration on Mars.

The cast of season 5 includes Joel Kinnaman, Wrenn Schmidt, Krys Marshall, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña, Toby Kebbell, Tyner Rushing, Daniel Stern and Svetlana Efremova .
