British filmmaker Peter Greenaway's new yet-to-be-titled film is all set to star Academy Award winners Helen Hunt and Dustin Hoffman. The film's principal photography has commenced in Lucca, Italy.

The feature will also star Sofia Boutella, Giacomo Gianniotti, Jonno Davies, and Laura Morante. The film comes 9 years after Greenaway's 2015 film Eisenstein in Guanajuato.

Greenaway has penned the original script for the film which will revolve around a brilliant man, facing his own mortality, embarking on a final, unconventional adventure: orchestrating his own death. He desires a meticulously planned exit, free from chaos and with all affairs settled – a kind of elegant goodbye.

The feature will be bankrolled by Markus Barmettler and Philip Lee for Facing East. The post-production for the film will happen in the Netherlands with Dutch producer Witfilm and in Belgium with Saga Film.

Executive producers on the project are Enrique Drescher, Daniel Fluri, Andres Kernen, Adrian Grabe, Saskia Boddeke, Ada Bonvini, Ivano Fucci and Marc Jacobson.
