Also present at the event at CinemaCon with Keaton were his Beetlejuice co-star Catherine O’Hara and director BurtonThe trio were presenting the trailer for the sequel on behalf of Warner Bros. to theatre owners at CinemaCon.

The film also stars Winona Ryder in a role reprisal of her Lydia from the original and Jenna Ortega as her daughter. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice follows Ryder's Lydia, a woman with connections with life after death, and her daughter as the duo confronts Keaton’s ghost. Justin Theroux, Willem Dafoe, and Monica Bellucci round out the cast.

“They are all good,” said Keaton about the cast. “Everyone is so friggin’ funny,” he added.

“It’s like a weird big home film for me,” Burton stated in a behind-the-scenes clip that Warner Bros. exhibited at CinemaCon before the filmmaker's appearance. Warner Bros. is releasing the Beetlejuice sequel on September 6 in theatres.
